Szabla is a polish term from which the Italian word “sciabola”(saber) derives. The work has been produced through the digital re-elaboration of specific audio samples through modified parameters. The original track is inverted and the software is pushed to its limits by emphasizing the irregular sounds and boosting the echo and “dirty” sound effects. This tortured sound file opens a composition which moves in precarious balance between divergences, improvised chasms, rips and cuts that recall the fluctuation of a blade in the air or the sounds discharged by the friction generated in the process of knife sharpening.
